These are random text conversations that I have gotten, mostly from Craigslist ads.  Typing is spelled “as is” to recreate the exact messages…..

99 Suburban, $5,400.00

Buyer, “Is you suburban still for sale?”

Me, “Yes…”

Buyer, “Any leaks?Clean and clear title? Is the price negotiable?”

Me, “No leaks, clear clean title, I’ll talk price with someone who will take the time to come look at it…”

Buyer, “I live 3 hours away. I don’t want to drive that far if we cannot set a price based on no surprises.”

Me, “Well 5400 must be pretty good if u are thinking about driving 3 hours. Call me tomorrow to discuss, I need to go to bed.”   (Now 10 PM Sunday night.)

Buyer, “The price is an issue.  I found a similar 99 suburban with 20k more miles for 4000.”

Me, “Ok….Sounds like a good deal….  Go buy it….”

Buyer, “Just letting you know…”    Now 10:30 PM….

 

2002 Traiblazer $5300.00

Buyer, “I have 3000 cash for trailblazer.  let me no thanks”

Me,  “You are $2300.00 short, thanks!!!”

Buyer, “Do you still have the trailblazer?”

Me, :Yes…”

Buyer, “Would you take $5000?”

Me, “Nope…”

Buyer, “How low will you go?”

Me, “5500″

Buyer, “Where are you located at?”

Me. “St Clair, 48079″

Buyer, “No rust, never been in an accident and how are the tires?”

Me, “Perfect truck.  Tires have 50 miles on them, new Firestones!”

Buyer, “Theres no rust? Has it ever been in an accident?”

Me, (Now 10 PM Monday) “Clean carfax.  No rust.”

Buyer, “4 wheel drive works?”

Buyer, “Any rips in the seats?”

Me, “Nope.  3 wheels fell off last night and I pull it around town with my horses….  Come and see it…. It’s perfect!”

Buyer, “LOL i’ll give you a call tomorrow.”

Me, “Lol, ok.”   (This guy actually did come and buy the car!!!!)

2008 Dodge Ram Mega Cab $21,900

Buyer, “Would u let me come by and lick the tires clean??”  (at 2 AM)

Me, “If u bring 21,900 u can lick the whole truck!!!!”  (@2:15 AM)

No response, this guy DID NOT buy the truck!!!!!  LOL

2002 Trailblazer $6000.00

Buyer, “Hey do u have trailblazer”

Me, “Yes….”

Buyer, “It has any problem”

Me, “Nope. Perfect running and everything works.  New Firestone tires,”

Buyer, “Cool what is lower price u go”

Me, “Won’t talk price.  It’s low already.”

Buyer, “ok I have 5500 cash now I can take it tomorrow”:

Me, “You would buy a car from a stranger without even seeing it?”

Buyer, “No I’m coming to look at it”

Me, “903 Henry St, St Clair, MI 48079.  Call to set up a time.”

Buyer, “U gave me for that much”

Me, “Plus tax, title, and plate…..Sure. U will need insurance to drive it away.  New plate or transfer?”

Buyer, “I know but I live in east Lansing.  Can u bring it I can give my adress”

Me, “I am not a pizza man. Lol  I don’t deliver.  It’s been for sale for 3 hours and you’re the third guy that wants to see it.”

Buyer, “?”

Buyer, “lol”

Buyer, “Ok can come Tuesday and if u still have in that day let me know ok becouse I work all day tomorrow and I’m free next week”

Me, “Sure. If its still listed call to set up a time. Thanks.”

Buyer, “Yep thank you”

(Never talked to this dude again.”

03 Trailblazer LTZ $7400.00

Buyer, “Hey I was wondering if you might be interested in a trade for your 03 trailblazer 4×4 ltz??”

Me, “What u got and how much?”

Buyer, “95 Firebird has newer racing/performance plugs and 8mm wires, new battery and cables, new airfilter, good brakes, and rotors, good tires and has a shift kit. has almost 138k miles”

Me, “Well I am a wholesaler and buy Z28s and TAs that year and miles for about $2000 in early winter. Its far from an even trade to me.,”

Buyer, “Oh ok figured ask cause i really need something easier for my mom to get in and out of due to recent and upcoming surgery its very hard and painful.”

Me, “Sure. Never hurts to ask. I hope everything works out for you!!!”

Buyer, “Yea thanks”

Buyer, “Hey are you taking trades on your 01 explorer sport 4×4?”

Me, “Maybe if I can resell it. What you got?”

Buyer, “Whats the lowest Ur willing to go…. I have cash tmrw”

Me, “Call if u want to see the car.  I won’t negotiate if u won’t come see the car.  I sure wouldn’t spend 1000′s on a car I haven’t even seen!”

Buyer, “Well id like to know how much Ur planning on selling so I don’t waste my time or urs”

Me, “There is a price in the as….just go with that then.”

Buyer, “When can I see it”

Me, “Tonight or all weekend. Call to let me know when u are coming..”

Buyer, “Where r u located”
